SAND&ROCCA is the work of two artists, Nicolas Sand and Marie De Rocca. They live in Paris.
Nicolas Sand has directed several short films selected for international festivals and institutions, including the International Art Film Biennale at the Centre Pompidou, the Thessaloniki Cinema Museum, as well as the Grenoble and Taiwan film festivals. Alongside this, he has collaborated on the lighting design of numerous films with renowned directors, including Jim Jarmusch, Olivier Assayas, Arnaud Desplechin, Jan Kounen, Meredith Monk.
Marie De Rocca is represented by Galerie Olivier Nouvellet, Papiers d’Art and Galerie Menouar. She has exhibited at the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles and Salon Comparaisons. Her work has also been presented at the Musée du Montparnasse and the Musée de La Poste in Paris. In 2017, she received the Grand Prix Lucie Rivel from the Fondation Taylor.
